Insurance Hints, Tips, and Notes:
- Policies can be issued for periods of six to twelve-month timeframes and are typically renewable
- Your auto policy can also cover you and other family members on your same policy. This can include when a member of your family is behind the wheel of someone else’s car (with consent) or if they have given permission for someone not on the policy to operate their vehicle.
- Personal auto insurance does not typically provide coverage if you use your car to provide transportation to others through a ride-sharing service such as Uber or Lyft. If you provide ride0-sharing services, please let your agent know. They’ll be able to discuss your alternatives and policy options in this scenario.
- Collision and comprehensive insurance policies only cover the market value of your car, not what you paid for it.
